Stocker leads Boch Blazers to shutout victory over Junior Bruins

Cody Stocker recorded a shutout against Junior Bruins as Boch Blazers picked up a 3-0 win.

The win gave Boch Blazers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Boch Blazers got the win thanks to a great game by Adam Lewis, who had two goals and one assist. Lewis scored the first of his two goals at 10:48 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Boch Blazers. Trevor Berman picked up the assist. Lewis' next tally made the score 3-0 Boch Blazers with 1:05 left in the third period. Kurtis Garcia provided the assist.

Boch Blazers stifled Junior Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Boch Blazers forced Junior Bruins goalie Benjamin Gagnon to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Boch Blazers also got points from Garcia, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Boch Blazers received assists from Sidney Thomas and Joseph Fernandes, who contributed one a piece.

Junior Bruins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Boch Blazers power plays. Junior Bruins kept Boch Blazers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Stocker made 42 saves on 42 shots.

Boch Blazers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Junior Bruins' Gagnon stopped 40 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Junior Bruins totaled 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 0-for-3 on the power play. For Junior Bruins, Alex Duplessie was ejected from the game.
