Fernandes' hat trick boosts Boch Blazers over Jersey Wildcats, 11-2

Joseph Fernandes netted a hat trick to lead Boch Blazers over Jersey Wildcats, 11-2.

Fernandes got on the scoresheet 6:02 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:33 into the first and at 10:23 into the second.

The win gave Boch Blazers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Boch Blazers forced Jersey Wildcats goalie Peter Andersson to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Boch Blazers also got points from Colin Cordeiro, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Sidney Thomas, who also had three goals and one assist, Adam Lewis, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Caleb Doherty, who also registered one goal and two assists. Boch Blazers also got a goal from Patrick Hayes as well. Other players who recorded assists for Boch Blazers were Ryan McCarthy, who had one and Jacob Dyl, Emilio Botelho, Trevor Berman, and Kurtis Garcia, who contributed two a piece.

Jersey Wildcats forced Boch Blazers' goalies to work all game long, ripping 38 shots and forcing 36 saves. Cody Stocker made 31 stops and Lucas Paulson made five.

Jersey Wildcats was helped by Ryan Demgard, who grabbed two goals. Demgard scored the first of his two goals at 12:34 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Boch Blazers. Corey Carnahan provided the assist. Demgard's next tally made the score 4-2 Boch Blazers with 11:48 left in the second period. Carnahan picked up the assist. In addition, Jersey Wildcats received assists from Tommy Savino, who had one.

Boch Blazers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jersey Wildcats' Andersson stopped 29 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Jersey Wildcats incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
