Hagen, Lynagh dominate Jersey Wildcats, lead Brewster Bulldogs to 6-3 win

Behind two goals and one assist from Christopher Hagen and one goal and two assists from Ryan Lynagh, Brewster Bulldogs downed Jersey Wildcats 6-3.

Hagen scored the first of his two goals at 4:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Gregory Hennings picked up the assist. Hagen's next tally made the score 5-3 Brewster Bulldogs with 1:20 left in the third period. Lynagh scored 12:03 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Brewster Bulldogs. Patrick McKiernan assisted on the tally.

The win gave Brewster Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Jersey Wildcats was unable to stop Brewster Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Brewster Bulldogs eventually piled up 49 shots on goal.

Brewster Bulldogs additionally got points from Connor Bubolo, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Lynagh, who also registered one goal and two assists, and McKiernan, who also had one goal and one assist. James Maxson also scored for Brewster Bulldogs. Other players who recorded assists for Brewster Bulldogs were Taylor Folchetti, who had one.

Jersey Wildcats' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Brewster Bulldogs power plays. Jersey Wildcats' offense rang up 42 shots on Brewster Bulldogs' net.

Jersey Wildcats was led by Wilson Calderon, who racked up two goals. Calderon scored the first of his two goals at 6:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Jersey Wildcats. Tommy Kemly picked up the assist. Calderon's next tally made the score 4-2 Brewster Bulldogs with 3:59 left in the third period. Kemly provided the assist. Jersey Wildcats also got a goal from Corey Carnahan as well. In addition, Jersey Wildcats received assists from Kyle Davey and Ryan Demgard, who contributed one a piece.

Zachary Shapiro recorded 39 saves for Brewster Bulldogs. Brewster Bulldogs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Peter Andersson made 43 saves for Jersey Wildcats on 47 shots. Jersey Wildcats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
