Boch Blazers rolls over Suffolk Juniors, 5-1

Boch Blazers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Suffolk Juniors.

The win gave Boch Blazers a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Boch Blazers was led by goalie Cody Stocker, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Stocker will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

Boch Blazers was led by Adam Lewis, who tallied one goal. Lewis scored on the power play 15:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Boch Blazers. A cross checking penalty on Michael Guidi had put Boch Blazers on the power play.

Boch Blazers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Boch Blazers forced Suffolk Juniors goalie Eric Tatarian to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Boch Blazers additionally got points from Sidney Thomas, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brian Fisher also scored for Boch Blazers. Other players who recorded assists for Boch Blazers were Emilio Botelho and Sean Lowe, who each chipped in one.

Suffolk Juniors' offense rang up 32 shots on Boch Blazers' net.

Boch Blazers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Tatarian recorded 29 saves for Suffolk Juniors. Suffolk Juniors ended with 48 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and two majors. For Suffolk Juniors, Joseph Quinn and Steven Azzara were ejected from the contest.
