Junior Bruins downs Bay State Breakers, 3-1Brewster Ice Arena Fri, Mar 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Tucker Falk racked up two points to lead Junior Bruins to a 3-1 victory over Bay State Breakers. The win gave Junior Bruins a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Junior Bruins stifled Bay State Breakers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Junior Bruins forced Bay State Breakers goalie Keith Inman to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Junior Bruins also got a goal from John Buchanan as well. In addition, Junior Bruins received assists from Jake McKinnon, who had one. Bay State Breakers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Junior Bruins to score on any of its five power plays. Bay State Breakers was led by Thomas Cahill, who scored the team's only goal. Cahill scored 3:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Bay State Breakers. Mason Sloan provided the assist. Junior Bruins' Benjamin Gagnon stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Junior Bruins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Inman rejected 31 shots on goal for Bay State Breakers. Bay State Breakers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
