Huge game by LaValle boosts Hill-Murray over Eastview, 6-3

Behind a great game by Zach LaValle, who had two goals and one assist, the Hill-Murray Pioneers defeated the Eastview Lightning, 6-3.

LaValle's tallies came at 10:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hill-Murray and 2:34 into the second to make the score 4-0 Hill-Murray.

 

The Pioneers forced Eastview's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, ripping 37 shots and forcing 31 saves. Zachary Driscoll made 31 stops and Matthew Montgomery made zero.

Hill-Murray also got points from Colten Greeder, who also registered one goal and one assist and Mitch Slattery, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Curt LaChappelle also scored for Hill-Murray. In addition, Hill-Murray received assists from Zach Mills, who had two and Logan Sharp and Josh French, who contributed one a piece.

The Lightning were helped by Brett Schweiger, who grabbed one goal. Schweiger scored 7:20 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Hill-Murray. Kevin Wobschall picked up the assist. Eastview additionally got points from Mitchell Cerrato, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Eastview also got a goal from Keith Muehlbauer as well. Other players who recorded assists for Eastview were John Snodgrass, who had two and Cole Cooper and Thomas Hutsell, who each chipped in one.

John Dugas made 14 saves for Hill-Murray on 17 shots. The Pioneers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Eastview incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
