New York Apple Core downs Brewster Bulldogs in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

New York Apple Core pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over Brewster Bulldogs on a clutch goal by Joe Finneran.

New York Apple Core came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. New York Apple Core trailed 2-0 after a goal by Brewster Bulldogs' Taylor Folchetti at 4:26 in the second period. New York Apple Core knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Finneran at 13:45 in the third period.

Finneran had a great game for New York Apple Core, netting two goals.

New York Apple Core's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Brewster Bulldogs power plays. New York Apple Core forced Brewster Bulldogs goalie Zachary Shapiro to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

New York Apple Core also got a goal from James Loglisci as well. More assists for New York Apple Core came via Vladimir Korotin, Dillon Radin, and Phil Laurelli, who each chipped in one.

Brewster Bulldogs was helped by Connor Bubolo, who had one goal. Bubolo scored 13:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brewster Bulldogs. Gregory Hennings provided the assist. In addition, Brewster Bulldogs received assists from Christopher Hagen, who had one.

New York Apple Core's Dominic Lamanno stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. New York Apple Core totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. New York Apple Core ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Thomas McGovern was ejected from the game. Shapiro rejected 28 shots on goal for Brewster Bulldogs. Brewster Bulldogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
