Kory LeBlanc stood on his head and made 26 saves to lead the South Shore Kings to a 4-1 victory over Junior Bruins. The win gave South Shore a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. The Kings were led by Paul Wagner, who racked up one goal. Wagner scored 4:52 into the second period to make the score 2-0 South Shore. Daniel Clifford provided the assist. South Shore excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Kings kept Junior Bruins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Dargene made 36 saves on 40 shots. Others who scored for South Shore included Arturs Buss, who had one and Philip Falkof, who had two. In addition, South Shore received assists from Owen Campbell, who had one and Paul Marino, who had two. Junior Bruins was led by Zach Koonce, who scored the team's only goal. Koonce scored 11:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 South Shore. Ryan OToole picked up the assist. South Shore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Junior Bruins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
