New Hampshire's Moquin deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Atlanta

Christopher Moquin was all over the ice for the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs, as he tallied two goals in New Hampshire's 5-2 win over the Atlanta Knights.

Moquin's tallies came at 18:12 into the first period to make the score 2-2 and on the power play 19:04 into the second to make the score 3-2 New Hampshire.

The win gave the Jr Monarchs a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

New Hampshire put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Atlanta to score on any of its four power plays. The Jr Monarchs forced the Knights goalie Sean Davis to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots.

Others who scored for New Hampshire included Nate Philbrick, who had one and Shane Tracy, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for New Hampshire were Shane Earley, who had two and Eric Grover, Connor Merrick, Daniel Nolte, Brent Beaudoin, and Adriano Mungioli, who each chipped in one.

Atlanta was led by Cole Stallard, who had two goals. Stallard scored the first of his two goals at 2:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Atlanta. Sage Dugas assisted on the tally. Stallard's next tally made the score 2-1 Atlanta with 8:10 left in the first period. harris m picked up the assist. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Nick Elliott, who had one.

Cole Burack rejected 25 shots on goal for New Hampshire. The Jr Monarchs totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Davis recorded 49 saves for the Knights. Atlanta incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
