Webster nets hat trick, leads TORONTO to 10-1 win over ETOBICOKE

ETOBICOKE could not stop TORONTO's Brooke Webster, who tallied a hat trick in a 10-1 win.

Webster notched her first tally 4:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:39 into the second and at 1:06 into the third.

The win by TORONTO clinched the best of five series at 3-0.

TORONTO scored early and often, and held a 4-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

TORONTO pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 33 penalty minutes.

TORONTO made ETOBICOKE's netminders to work without much rest, finishing with 36 shots and forcing 26 saves. Amanda Smith made 17 stops and Keri Martin made nine. TORONTO's penalty kill managed to stymie ETOBICOKE's power play, giving up only one goal while playing with a man down.

TORONTO additionally got points from Audrey Potts, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Morgan Sly, who also had one goal and two assists, and Victoria Andreakos, who also racked up one goal and three assists. Others who scored for TORONTO included Jordan McDonell, who had two and Breanne Wilson-Bennett and MacKenzie MacNeil, who each put in one. More assists for TORONTO came via Hannah Rastrick, who had two and Morgan Kelly, Breanne Grant, Emma Greco, and Emma Korbs, who each chipped in one.

ETOBICOKE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow TORONTO to score on any of its seven power plays. ETOBICOKE did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 10 saves.

ETOBICOKE was led by Katelyn Turk (A), who scored the team's only goal. Turk (A) scored 12:35 into the second period to make the score 8-1 TORONTO. Nicole Atkinson provided the assist.

Maggie Prince recorded 10 saves for TORONTO. ETOBICOKE incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
