Hartland Hounds blows out Tennyson Chevrolet, 6-1

Hartland Hounds had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Tennyson Chevrolet.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Tennyson Chevrolet faces elimination next time out.

Paul Krystyniak was all over the ice for Hartland Hounds, as he had two goals in the win. Krystyniak scored at 3:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hartland Hounds and again while on the power play 17:43 into the first to make the score 3-1 Hartland Hounds.

Hartland Hounds was led by goalie Andrew Brownlee, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal.

Hartland Hounds forced Tennyson Chevrolet goalie Chris Lewis to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Hartland Hounds was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on 12 chances.

Others who scored for Hartland Hounds included Cameron Fisher, who had two and Scott Luca and Ethan Doyle, who each put in one. In addition, Hartland Hounds received assists from Cameron Miglia, who had two, Alexander Grizzel and Gabe Daavettila, who contributed one a piece, and Derek Kalisz and Zachary Bodziak, who each chipped in three.

Tennyson Chevrolet's offense rang up 32 shots on Hartland Hounds' net.

Tennyson Chevrolet was led by Michael Cruse, who scored the team's only goal. Cruse scored on the power play 16:23 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Hartland Hounds. Tennyson Chevrolet had taken the advantage when Hartland Hounds' Luca got sent off for cross checking. Justin Whitson assisted on the tally.

Hartland Hounds incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Lewis rejected 33 shots on goal for Tennyson Chevrolet. Tennyson Chevrolet incurred 54 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Tennyson Chevrolet ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Keaton Lang was ejected from the game.
