Tennyson Chevrolet rides Lewis to victory over Soo Firehawks, 7-1

Chris Lewis had a standout game with 38 saves, and Tennyson Chevrolet beat Soo Firehawks 7-1.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Soo Firehawks faces elimination next time out.

Tennyson Chevrolet's penalty kill excelled, as Tennyson Chevrolet gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Tennyson Chevrolet was led by Robert Danyo, who grabbed one goal. Danyo scored 2:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tennyson Chevrolet. Zachary Chapman assisted on the tally.

Tennyson Chevrolet made Soo Firehawks' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 57 shots and forcing 50 saves. Keegan McGraw made 37 stops and Brandon Hansen made 13.

Tennyson Chevrolet additionally got points from Zachary Wiacek, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Ryan Brown, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Justin Whitson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Cal Jesko, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Ryan Santo also scored for Tennyson Chevrolet. Other players who recorded assists for Tennyson Chevrolet were Kenneth Winter, who had two and Anthony Davey and Bobby Domin, who each chipped in one.

Soo Firehawks' offense rang up 39 shots on Tennyson Chevrolet's net.

Soo Firehawks was led by Alexander Drulia, who scored the team's only goal. Drulia scored on the power play 2:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Soo Firehawks. Soo Firehawks had gotten the advantage when Tennyson Chevrolet's Joseph Matyaszek was sent off for tripping. Brandt Miller picked up the assist.

Tennyson Chevrolet incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Soo Firehawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
