AURORA's Alie Brindamour-McClure(A) had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in her team's 5-0 win over NEPEAN. Brindamour-McClure(A) found the back of the net 12:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 AURORA and again while 9:11 into the third to make the score 5-0 AURORA.After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, NEPEAN faces elimination next time out. AURORA's penalty kill excelled, as AURORA gave up zero goals despite allowing 13 power plays. AURORA stifled NEPEAN's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. AURORA also got points from Claudia Black, who also finished with one goal and one assist. AURORA also got a goal from Caroline DeBruin(A) as well. In addition, AURORA received assists from Jacky Normandeau, who had three and Maddison Lee and Ashley Rothon, who each chipped in one. AURORA's Paula Voorheis stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that she faced. AURORA incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. For AURORA, Christina Ieradi was ejected from the game. NEPEAN's starting goalie, Kierra Lambertucci, made eight saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Makayla Campbell, who stopped six shots. NEPEAN incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. |
