St. Michaels squeaks by Toronto, 3-2

The game between the St. Michaels Buzzers and the Toronto Junior Canadiens was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Michaels emerged with a 3-2 win.

The Buzzers gained the winning advantage on a goal by Stephen Pietrobon 12:04 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Toronto faces elimination next time out.

St. Michaels was paced by Pietrobon, who grabbed one goal.

The Buzzers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Michaels' offense rang up 31 shots on the Junior Canadiens' net.

St. Michaels additionally got points from Shane Conacher, who also registered one goal and one assist. Troy Josephs also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Matt Buckles, who had one and Cody Doiron, who had two.

The Buzzers were unable to stop Toronto from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Canadiens eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Toronto was helped by Robert Cammalleri, who finished with one goal. Cammalleri scored 1:45 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Connor Prudames assisted on the tally. Toronto also got a goal from Matthew Nosella as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Adam Logozzo and Danny Liscio, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels' Adrian Ignagni stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Buzzers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nathan Colitto rejected 28 shots on goal for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
