Toronto falls to St. Michaels in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The St. Michaels Buzzers' Shane Conacher scored 1:14 into overtime to beat the Toronto Junior Canadiens, 4-3 (OT).

The win gave St. Michaels a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Buzzers came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. St. Michaels was down 2-0 after a goal by Toronto's Michael Cuddemi at 15:14 in the first period. The Buzzers knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Matt Galati at 13:50 in the third period.

The Junior Canadiens were unable to stop St. Michaels from sending pucks towards the net, and the Buzzers eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

St. Michaels additionally got points from Galati, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Jared Walsh, Jordan Merante, and Patrick McCarron, who contributed one a piece.

Toronto's offense rang up 31 shots on St. Michaels' net.

Toronto also got points from Derek Perl, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Robert Cammalleri also scored for Toronto. More assists for Toronto came via Connor Prudames, who had one and Jordan Carvalho, who had two.

Adrian Ignagni made 28 saves for the Buzzers on 31 shots. St. Michaels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Junior Canadiens' Denny Dubblestyne stopped 31 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Toronto incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
