Wellington falls to Kingston in overtime, 3-2 (OT)INVISTA Center Thu, Mar 07, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kingston Voyageurs' David Quesnele scored 12:43 into overtime to beat the Wellington Dukes, 3-2 (OT). The win by Kingston clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. Quesnele had two goals and one assist to lead the Voyageurs. Quesnele scored the first of his two goals at 19:11 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Francesco Vilardi assisted on the tally. Quesnele's next tally made the score 3-2 Kingston with 7:17 left in overtime. Kris Grant picked up the assist. Kingston excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Voyageurs kept Wellington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Larose made 45 saves on 48 shots. Kingston also got a goal from Brett Du Puy as well. The Dukes stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Wellington was helped by Nik Coric, who grabbed one goal. Coric scored 19:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Josh Finkelstein assisted on the tally. Craig Campbell also scored for Wellington. In addition, Wellington received assists from Erick Delaurentis, who had one. Charlie Finn rejected 26 shots on goal for the Voyageurs. Kingston incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Dukes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
