Alex Funk was all over the ice for the Rochester Lourdes Eagles, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Rochester Lourdes' 6-1 win over the Mankato West Scarlets.

Funk's first goal came 3:55 into the second period. He then added goals at 11:21 into the second, at 9:02 into the third, and at 15:57 into the third.

Mankato West was unable to stop Rochester Lourdes from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Rochester Lourdes cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Rochester Lourdes also got points from Griffen Slightham, who also registered one goal and one assist. Luke Morrey also scored for Rochester Lourdes. Other players who recorded assists for Rochester Lourdes were Jason Samuelson, who had two and Karl Krecke, who had three.

The Eagles' defense shut down the Scarlets' forwards for much of the game, and Mankato West got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Jack Berkel rejected 12 shots on goal for Rochester Lourdes. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jake Spiess recorded 29 saves for the Scarlets. Mankato West incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.

The win gave the Eagles the Section 1A Title and punches their ticket to this years' Class A State Tourney held at the Xcel Energy Center.
