Huge game by McLain boosts Delano/Rockford over Blake School, 5-1

The Delano/Rockford Tigers' Adam McLain had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Blake School Bears.

McLain's tallies came at 1:39 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Delano/Rockford and 3:33 into the third to make the score 4-0 Delano/Rockford.

The win gave Delano/Rockford a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Blake School's power play was ineffective against the Tigers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Bears were unable to stop Delano/Rockford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tigers eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Delano/Rockford also got points from Jack Nelson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Eric Ylitalo, who also registered two goals and two assists. In addition, Delano/Rockford received assists from Grant Prinsen, who had one and Chad Oja, who had two.

Blake School did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Aaron Grangroth rejected 23 shots on goal for Delano/Rockford. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Joe Santelli recorded 28 saves for the Bears.
