Prior Lake blows out Chanhassen, 6-1

The Prior Lake Lakers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Chanhassen Storm.

The win gave Prior Lake a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Blake Busch was all over the ice for the Lakers, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Busch scored at 12:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Prior Lake and again while on the power play 13:53 into the third to make the score 6-1 Prior Lake.

Prior Lake's offense rang up 43 shots on Chanhassen's net. The Lakers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Prior Lake also got points from Jack Murphy, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Austin Hill also scored for Prior Lake. Other players who recorded assists for Prior Lake were Jeff Pieper, Hayden Maxfield, Joey Kleven, Will Reedy, Sam Taylor, and Ben Keckeisen, who contributed one a piece.

The Storm were led by Logan Wilkinson, who scored the team's only goal. Wilkinson scored 7:50 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Prior Lake. Ryan Schwarz assisted on the tally.

Jordan Moran recorded 21 saves for Prior Lake. The Lakers registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Harlin Paradise rejected 37 shots on goal for Chanhassen. The Storm incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
