Hill-Murray outlasts White Bear Lake, 1-0

The Hill-Murray Pioneers beat the White Bear Lake Bears 1-0 in a game that featured tenacious defense, solid goalkeeping and a winning score from Davis Zarembinski.

Zarembinski's tally was assisted by Dan Dolan.

The win gave Hill-Murray a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Pioneers were paced by Zarembinski, who grabbed one goal. Zarembinski scored 9:32 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Hill-Murray. Dolan provided the assist.

Hill-Murray's offense rang up 40 shots on White Bear Lake's net. The Pioneers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

The Bears relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Jake Wahlin, Seth King and Tommy Giller took eight of the team's 15 shots.

John Dugas made 15 saves for Hill-Murray on 15 shots. The Pioneers registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. White Bear Lake's Chase Gorman stopped 39 shots out of the 40 that he faced. The Bears incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
