Gorowsky nets hat trick, leads Centennial to 4-1 win over Maple Grove

Hans Gorowsky netted a hat trick to lead the Centennial Cougars over the Maple Grove Crimson, 4-1.

Gorowsky notched his first tally 11:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:36 into the second and at 1:19 into the third.

The win gave Centennial a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Cougars excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Centennial's offense rang up 36 shots on Maple Grove's net.

Jordan Pitlick also scored for Centennial. More assists for Centennial came via Connor Lovick, Ryner Gorowsky, and Will Juergens, who each chipped in one.

The Crimson were led by Joe Franta, who scored the team's only goal. Franta scored 3:45 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Centennial. Charlie Thomsen assisted on the tally.

Patrick Munson recorded 24 saves for the Cougars. Centennial incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Maple Grove's Calvin McKenney stopped 32 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Crimson incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
