Graves leads Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson over Greenway, 7-4

Behind a great game by Derek Graves, who had five goals and two assists, the Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs defeated the Greenway Raiders, 7-4.

Graves' first goal came 5:37 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:45 into the first, at 4:45 into the third, at 5:46 into the third, and at 10:22 into the third.

Greenway was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson was able to score four times while on the power play.

The Mustangs kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam LaDoux made 25 saves on 32 shots.

Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson additionally got points from Connor Cannon, who also grabbed two goals and two assists. In addition, Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson received assists from Troy Jones, who had two, Dylan Libra, who had four, and Justin Kneiszler and Hunter Wedin, who contributed one a piece.

Greenway was often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. The Raiders surpassed its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson was unable to stop Greenway from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Greenway was led by Zach Childs, who had one goal and two assists. Childs scored short handed 4:11 into the second period to make the score 3-3. The Raiders found themselves down a man on Nick O'Toole's high sticking. Greenway also got points from Bazil Zuehlke, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Greenway also got a goal from Austin Sanderson as well. More assists for Greenway came via Alex Troumbly and Jayden Gangl, who each chipped in one.

Tanner Baxley rejected 29 shots on goal for the Mustangs. Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Greenway registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
