Tyler Kearns had one goal and two assists to lead the Picton Pirates to a 5-1 victory over the Amherstview Jets.

Kearns scored 3:22 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Picton. Cole Bolton picked up the assist. Kearns dished an assist on Evan Greer's goal that made the score 1-0 Picton at 1:00 into the second period. He added another helper on Kenny Murduff's goal that made the score 3-1 Picton at 8:53 into the second period.

The win by Picton clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Pirates were led by goalie Adam Wood, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Wood certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.5 entering the contest.

Picton also got points from Murduff, who also registered one goal and one assist, Greer, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and Bolton, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Jacob Panetta, who had two.

Amherstview was led by Cody Stapley, who scored the team's only goal. Stapley scored 5:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Picton. Rhys Webster assisted on the tally.

Picton totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The Pirates ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Sizer was ejected from the game. James DAndrea recorded 24 saves for the Jets. Amherstview totaled 27 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For the Jets, Liam Vanburen was ejected from the game.
