Campbellford falls to Port Hope in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Port Hope Panthers' Brad Heykoop scored 4:40 into overtime to beat the Campbellford Rebels, 3-2 (OT).

The win by Port Hope clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

The Panthers were led by Heykoop, who registered one goal.

Port Hope forced Campbellford goalie Cole Mahoney to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots.

Port Hope also got a goal from Kyle Sullivan as well. More assists for Port Hope came via Josh Fagan, Nick Weiss, Chris Jones, and Brandon Yorke, who contributed one a piece.

The Rebels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Campbellford's offense rang up 40 shots on the Panthers' net.

The Rebels were helped by Tyler Daveys, who grabbed one goal. Daveys scored 6:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Campbellford. Connor Turland picked up the assist. Tim Pandachuck also scored for Campbellford. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Andrew Revell, who had one.

Branson Schell rejected 38 shots on goal for Port Hope. The Panthers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Campbellford's Mahoney stopped 52 shots out of the 55 that he faced. The Rebels incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
