Cole Bolton had one goal and two assists to lead the Picton Pirates to a 6-2 victory over the Amherstview Jets. Bolton scored 17:10 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Picton. Ryan Sizer provided the assist. Bolton dished an assist on Tyler Kearns's goal that made the score 1-0 Picton at 2:12 into the first period. He added another helper on Levi George's goal that made the score 2-1 Picton at 8:21 into the second period.The win gave Picton a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Pirates kept Amherstview's goalie busy throughout the game, and James DAndrea made 25 saves on 31 shots. Picton additionally got points from Evan Greer, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Sizer, who also had one goal and one assist, and Kearns, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were will healey, who had one and Brian Bunnett, who had two. The Jets forced Picton goalie Andrew Pearson to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Amherstview was led by Brandon Gilmour, who registered one goal and one assist. Gilmour scored on the power play 18:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Jets had taken the advantage when the Pirates' Greer got sent off for slashing. Cassidy Bruni picked up the assist. Amherstview also got a goal from Brett Elder (APM) as well. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Liam Vanburen, who had one. Andrew Pearson made 30 saves for Picton on 32 shots. The Pirates incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Amherstview incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
