Anthony DUrso recorded a shutout against the Georgina Ice as the Clarington Eagles picked up a 4-0 win. The win by Clarington clinched the best of five series at 3-1. The Eagles got the win behind a great game by Blane Gaudon, who had one goal and two assists. Gaudon scored 5:02 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Clarington. Rory Craddock assisted on the tally. Clarington pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 50 penalty minutes. The Eagles stifled Georgina's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Clarington's offense rang up 38 shots on the Ice's net. Clarington additionally got points from Graham Snoek, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Craig Crowther, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Brent Hambly also scored for Clarington. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Brett Brown and Cody Kean, who contributed one a piece. Georgina put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Eagles to score on any of their eight power plays. Clarington's DUrso stopped 29 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Jake Francis made 34 saves for the Ice on 38 shots. Georgina incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
