Winona could not complete its climb out of a four-goal hole. Rochester Century made it 4-0 on a power play goal by Riese Zmolek at 4:28 in the second period. The Winhawks got to within 5-4 on a goal by Jacob Kelly at 12:09 in the third period.

The Panthers got the win behind a great game by Zmolek, who had four goals and one assist. Zmolek got on the scoresheet 4:55 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:23 into the second and at 2:15 into the third.

Rochester Century kept Winona's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Schoh made 32 saves on 38 shots. The Panthers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season.
