The Clarington Eagles opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 10-1 over the Georgina Ice. After the loss made the series score 2-1 in the best of five series, Georgina faces elimination next time out. Dan Michel was all over the ice for Clarington, as he had two goals in the win. Michel found the back of the net 6:24 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Clarington and again while on the power play 5:15 into the third to make the score 7-1 Clarington. The Ice fell victim to a deadly the Eagles power play, which ripped Georgina for five goals. Clarington made Ice's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, ripping 51 shots and forcing 41 saves. Jake Francis made 29 stops and Michael Chilvers made 12. The Eagles stifled the Ice's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Clarington additionally got points from Brent Hambly, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Craig Crowther, who also registered one goal and one assist. Clarington also had goals scored by Jake Choiniere and Brock Ackerman, who each put in one and Blane Gaudon and Greg St. James, who scored two goals each. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Thomas Garrity, Scott Ferguson, Luke Garneau, Graham Snoek, Collin McGillis, and Jeremy OsborneAPM, who contributed one a piece and Mitchell Marchbank and Dylan Howorko, who each chipped in two. Anthony DUrso made 21 saves for Clarington on 22 shots. The Eagles incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Georgina incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 17 minors.
