Dunnville boosted by Rosettani's play in net, beats St. George 4-1

Josh Rosettani had a standout game with 29 saves, and the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats beat the St. George Dukes 4-1.

The win gave Dunnville a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Jr. Mudcats pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 33 penalty minutes.

Dunnville was paced by Damien Lalonde, who racked up one goal. Lalonde scored 14:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dunnville. Bret Golding picked up the assist.

The Jr. Mudcats put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. George to score on any of its nine power plays. Dunnville forced the Dukes goalie Tyler Lewis to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Dunnville additionally got points from Mack Steele, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Dunnville also got a goal from Joel Vanvliet as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dunnville were Evan Huckalo, Ryan Turner, Shawn Anthony, Landon Minor, and Luke Rowe, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Mudcats registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Team's Vanvliet, Anthony, and Steele were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Lewis recorded 32 saves for St. George. The Dukes incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For St. George, John Witt was ejected from the game.
