Chapman's big game bests Michigan Ice Dogs in 8-2 Tennyson Chevrolet win

Tennyson Chevrolet's Zachary Chapman had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 8-2 win over Michigan Ice Dogs.

Chapman scored 1:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Tennyson Chevrolet. Robert Danyo assisted on the tally. Chapman dished an assist on Kenneth Winter's goal that made the score 1-0 Tennyson Chevrolet at 3:49 into the first period. He added another helper on Jerome Schlaff's goal that made the score 7-1 Tennyson Chevrolet at 10:30 into the second period.

Tennyson Chevrolet pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 46 penalty minutes.

Tennyson Chevrolet forced Michigan Ice Dogs' goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 34 shots and forcing 26 saves. Andrew Freeman made 16 stops and Colton Lewicki made 10. Tennyson Chevrolet excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. Tennyson Chevrolet found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Tennyson Chevrolet averages 5.2 goals per game.

Tennyson Chevrolet also got points from Ryan Krolikowski, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Tennyson Chevrolet also got a goal from Zachary Wiacek as well. In addition, Tennyson Chevrolet received assists from Kyle McKibbin, who had four, Anthony Davey and Joseph Matyaszek, who each chipped in one, and Ryan Brown and Anthony Wojciechowski, who contributed two a piece.

Michigan Ice Dogs stifled Tennyson Chevrolet's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Michigan Ice Dogs was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled 10 minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time.

Michigan Ice Dogs was led by Hunter Ledgerwood, who finished with one goal. Ledgerwood scored 2:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tennyson Chevrolet. Alexander Stewart picked up the assist. Zachary Bess also scored for Michigan Ice Dogs.

Christopher Boyd made 15 saves for Tennyson Chevrolet on 17 shots. Tennyson Chevrolet registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
