Kawaguchi scored on the power play at 10:00 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Pursuit of Excellence 18U and again while 16:02 into the third to make the score 5-3 Pursuit of Excellence 18U.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U also got points from Brandon Duhaime, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tyler Barrett also scored for Pursuit of Excellence 18U. More assists for Pursuit of Excellence 18U came via Chaz Reddekopp, who had two.

California Titans 18U found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays.
