Lansing Capitals 18U stifles Pikes Peak Miners 18U's comeback, gains 5-3 victory

Pikes Peak Miners 18U almost clawed its way back from a four-goal deficit, but Lansing Capitals 18U managed to pull out a 5-3 win in the end.

Lansing Capitals 18U led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Lansing Capitals 18U's Zachary Roberts's scored on the power play at 6:37 in the second period to put Lansing Capitals 18U up 4-0.

Roberts was all over the ice for Lansing Capitals 18U, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

Penalties took their toll on Lansing Capitals 18U, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. Lansing Capitals 18U got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
