Texas Tornado 16U almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U managed to pull out a 6-4 win in the end. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U's Jackson DeWitt's scored at 3:12 in the third period to put San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U up 5-2. Carson Kelley and Tyson McLellan provided the spark for San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U, combining for three goals and three assists. Kelley racked up two goals and one assist and McLellan also notched one goal and two assists. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Texas Tornado 16U power plays. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U also got points from Jack Cleaver, who also registered one goal and one assist, Christopher Milner, who also finished with one goal and one assist, DeWitt, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and McLellan, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U received assists from Austin Elchinoff and Johnny Tomlinson, who each chipped in one. Texas Tornado 16U managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time.
