Dorchester beats Mt.Brydges 4-0 as Hutcheson gains shutout

Alex Hutcheson was superb between the pipes for the Dorchester Dolphins, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Mt.Brydges faces elimination next time out.

Dorchester was led by Patrick Freel, who registered one goal. Freel scored 4:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dorchester. Jesiah Sweetland assisted on the tally.

The Dolphins excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Bulldogs were unable to stop Dorchester from sending pucks towards the net, and the Dolphins eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Dorchester also got points from Sweetland, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dorchester also got a goal from Connor McKay as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Chris Buckholz, who had two and Jordan Fuller, Tyler Blue, and Brendon O Shaughnessy, who contributed one a piece.

Mt.Brydges kept Dorchester's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hutcheson made 38 saves on 38 shots.

The Dolphins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Eric Steinman rejected 28 shots on goal for the Bulldogs. Mt.Brydges incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
