Steinman leads Mt.Brydges to shutout victory over Dorchester

The Mt.Brydges Bulldogs used a sparkling performance by Eric Steinman to take down the Dorchester Dolphins, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Mt.Brydges' 2-0 shutout victory.

The win gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Mt.Brydges pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs were led by Tony Lindner, who finished with one goal. Lindner scored 10:53 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Mt.Brydges.

Mt.Brydges' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Dorchester power plays.

Mt.Brydges also got a goal from Grant Johns as well. In addition, Mt.Brydges received assists from Sean Candler and Spencer Wilson, who each chipped in one.

Dorchester's offense rang up 47 shots on the Bulldogs' net.

Eric Steinman made 47 saves for Mt.Brydges on 47 shots. The Bulldogs registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Alex Hutcheson rejected 17 shots on goal for the Dolphins. Dorchester incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
