The Port Stanley Sailors gutted out a close 5-3 win against the Lucan Irish. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Luke McGuire at 8:50 of the second period. After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Lucan faces elimination next time out. Tyler Beaulieu was all over the ice for Port Stanley, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Beaulieu scored 12:02 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Port Stanley. In a losing effort, the Irish were led by Colin Hartwick, who grabbed two goals. Hartwick scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lucan. Lucan had taken the advantage when the Sailors' Zach Zinga got sent off for high sticking. Matt Curtis picked up the assist. Hartwick's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Port Stanley with 2:23 left in the second period. The Irish had gotten the advantage when Port Stanley's Derek Finlay was sent off for high sticking. Lucan was unable to stop the Sailors from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Stanley eventually piled up 59 shots on goal. Port Stanley additionally got points from Tom Yurek, who also finished with one goal and one assist and McGuire, who also registered one goal and one assist. Port Stanley also got a goal from Mark Fraser as well. The Irish forced the Sailors goalie Brandon Garner to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Colin Nancekivell also scored for Lucan. More assists for Lucan came via Ben Lawton, who had one. Garner rejected 38 shots on goal for Port Stanley. The Sailors incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Lucan's Joseph Frustaglio stopped 54 shots out of the 59 that he faced. The Irish totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 2-for-8 on the power play. Lucan ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mitch Morin was ejected from the game.
