The Wellesley Applejacks used a sparkling performance by Josh Heer to take down the Delhi Travellers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Wellesley's 3-0 shutout victory. The win gave the Applejacks a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Wellesley pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 36 penalty minutes. The Applejacks were led by Brett MacDonald, who finished with one goal. MacDonald scored 15:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wellesley. Coleton Madge picked up the assist. Wellesley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Delhi power plays. The Applejacks' offense rang up 36 shots on Delhi's net. Steven Tait also scored for Wellesley. In addition, Wellesley received assists from Reid Denstedt, who had two and Troy Williams, Josh Herd, and Tyler Eckert, who each chipped in one. Heer rejected 28 shots on goal for Wellesley. The Applejacks registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Nick Heath recorded 33 saves for the Travellers. Delhi incurred 48 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
