Mound-Westonka downs Little Falls, 2-0

Charlie Curti grabbed two points to lead the Mound-Westonka Whitehawks to a 2-0 victory over the Little Falls Flyers.

Mound-Westonka's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Little Falls power plays. The Whitehawks' defense was surprisingly good. Mound-Westonka gives up 2.7 goals on average per game. The Whitehawks' offense was clicking better than usual and put 26 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.3 shot per game they average.

Jude Pierce also scored for Mound-Westonka. Other players who recorded assists for Mound-Westonka were Jack Brandstetter, who had one.

Little Falls' offense operated below it season average. The Flyers put an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game.

Andy Seats recorded 15 saves for Mound-Westonka. The Whitehawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Michael Stumpf made 24 saves for Little Falls on 26 shots. The Flyers ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. Little Falls ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matthew Stumpf was ejected from the game.
