Rosemount beats St.Louis Park 6-3 as Gillett gets hat trick

Lukas Gillett netted a hat trick to lead the Rosemount Irish over the St.Louis Park Orioles, 6-3.

Gillett's first goal came 7:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:08 into the second and at 10:33 into the third.

Rosemount's offense rang up 37 shots on St.Louis Park's net. The Irish's goal total was higher than their season average. Rosemount averages 3.6 goals per game.

Rosemount also got a goal from Justin Crowell as well. Other players who recorded assists for Rosemount were Ryan Foley, Nick Swanson, Ted Schultz, and Tom Fraune, who contributed one a piece and Zach Bichler and Anthony Winters, who each chipped in two.

The Orioles put 16 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.4 they average per game. St.Louis Park got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

The Orioles were helped by T.J. HALLFIN, who registered two goals. HALLFIN scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:48 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Rosemount. St.Louis Park had gained a power play chance when Winters was whistled for hooking. NICK HAMES assisted on the tally. HALLFIN's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 3:20 left in the first period. St.Louis Park additionally got points from CURT GREENBUSH, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

Fraune recorded 13 saves for the Irish. Rosemount totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-7 on the power play. The Irish ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Schultz was ejected from the game. RYAN FROOM made 31 saves for the Orioles on 37 shots. St.Louis Park incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
