The Redwood Valley Cardinals had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-2 win over the Worthington Trojans.

Austin Kretsch had one goal and three assists to lead Redwood Valley. Kretsch scored short handed 42 seconds into the third period to make the score 6-1 Redwood Valley. The Cardinals found themselves down a man on Logan Sandgren's roughing. Jacob Prouty assisted on the tally.

Redwood Valley kept Worthington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Purdy made 27 saves on 35 shots. The Cardinals found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season.
