Moser's goals lift Park of Cottage Grove to 2-1 victory over WoodburyCottage Grove Ice Arena Thu, Feb 14, 2013 Nicholas Moser was all over the ice for the Park of Cottage Grove Wolfpack, as he tallied two goals in Park of Cottage Grove's 2-1 win over the Woodbury Royals. Moser's tallies came on the power play at 3:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 1:28 into the third to make the score 2-1 Park of Cottage Grove.Woodbury was stymied by the Wolfpack netminder Kyle Strand, who stopped 33 shots during the victory. Strand certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 6.63 entering the contest. Park of Cottage Grove put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Royals to score on any of their three power plays. Other players who recorded assists for Park of Cottage Grove were Russel Damsgard, Andrew Peterson, Dylan Radke, and Alex Kielsa, who contributed one a piece. The Wolfpack were unable to stop Woodbury from sending pucks towards the net, and the Royals eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Woodbury was led by Ford Pendleton, who scored the team's only goal. Pendleton scored 9:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Woodbury. Jack Glaeser provided the assist. Park of Cottage Grove incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Austen Macalus rejected 25 shots on goal for the Royals. Woodbury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
