East Grand Forks beats Red Lake Falls 6-0 as Bowen gets hat trick

Dixon Bowen lifted the East Grand Forks Green Wave to a 6-0 victory with a hat trick against the Red Lake Falls Eagles.

Bowen got on the scoresheet 1:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:03 into the first and at 7:38 into the first.

East Grand Forks gained an early advantage, leading 5-0 by the end of the first period.

The Green Wave managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. East Grand Forks wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. The Green Wave forced Red Lake Falls goalie Wyatt Casavan to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots.

East Grand Forks also got points from Luke Beito, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Reed Corbid, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Dallas Dragich also scored for East Grand Forks. Other players who recorded assists for East Grand Forks were Tanner Tweten, who had three and Nick Korynta, Tye Ausmus, Kolton Aubol, and Jace Pesch, who each chipped in one.
