Bartosh leads Windom Area over Achiever NE Academy, 6-3Eagan East Rink Sat, Dec 15, 2012 The Windom Area Eagles' Zach Bartosh had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Achiever NE Academy Aces. Bartosh scored at 43 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Windom Area and again while 16:55 into the second to make the score 4-2 Windom Area.Windom Area pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. The Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Windom Area additionally got points from Travis Janssen, who also racked up three goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Mitchell Macek, who also had one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Windom Area were Kyle Luhmann and Andrew Hirsch, who contributed one a piece. Achiever NE Academy kept Windom Area's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ben Stubbe made 31 saves on 34 shots. The Aces were helped by Ryan Finnegan, who tallied one goal and one assist. Finnegan scored 15:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cory Sprague picked up the assist. Achiever NE Academy also got points from Sprague, who also registered one goal and one assist. Achiever NE Academy also got a goal from Brennan McGuire as well. In addition, Achiever NE Academy received assists from Donovan Meyer, who had one.
