Duluth East downs Tartan, 3-0

Alex Toscano registered two points to lead the Duluth East Greyhounds to a 3-0 victory over the Tartan Titans.

Duluth East stifled Tartan's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Greyhounds put 42 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.3 they average per game.

Duluth East also got points from Jack Forbort, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Meirs Moore also scored for Duluth East. Other players who recorded assists for Duluth East were Ryan Lundgren, who had one and Phil Beaulieu, who had two.

The Titans were held below their usual level of production. Tartan puts an average of 4.7 pucks into the net per game. Duluth East's defense shut down the Titans' forwards for much of the game, and Tartan got off only 14 shots during the contest. Penalties took their toll on the Titans, as their penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

Dylan Parker recorded 14 saves for the Greyhounds. Duluth East ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. Gabe Splichal made 39 saves for Tartan on 42 shots. The Titans incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
