St. Thomas Academy downs South St.Paul, 5-0

Matt Perry finished with one point to lead the St. Thomas Academy Cadets to a 5-0 victory over the South St.Paul Packers.

St. Thomas Academy's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three South St.Paul power plays. By firing 47 shots on goal, the Cadets exceeded the 1.6 shot they average per game this year.

St. Thomas Academy also got a goal from Henry Hart as well. In addition, St. Thomas Academy received assists from Alex Johnson, who had two and Wyatt Schmidt, Peter Tufto, Zach Weier, and Gunnar Regan, who each chipped in one.

South St.Paul excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Packers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. South St.Paul puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. The Packers did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 11 saves.

David Zevnik made 11 saves for St. Thomas Academy on 11 shots. The Cadets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Grant Amelse rejected 42 shots on goal for South St.Paul. The Packers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
