The South St.Paul Packers and the North High Polars skate to 4-4 (OT) tieWakota Sat, Jan 05, 2013 South St.Paul rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie North High, 4-4 (OT). The Polars were unable to stop the Packers from sending pucks towards the net, and South St.Paul eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. The Packers were led by Alec Miller, who had one goal and two assists. Miller scored 10:42 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Jack Pietruzewski assisted on the tally. Nick Jerhoff also scored for South St.Paul. Other players who recorded assists for South St.Paul were Billy Brandecker and Cameron Buhl, who contributed one a piece. North High forced South St.Paul goalie Kyle Jacobs to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Polars surpassed their usual scoring output this season. North High averages 1.9 goal per game. The Polars were led by Tyler Oliver, who registered two goals. Oliver scored the first of his two goals at 9:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 North High. Justin Oliver picked up the assist. Oliver's next tally made the score 3-3 with 14:20 left in the third period. An interference penalty on Jake Hill had put North High on the power play. Oliver assisted on the tally. North High also got a goal from Adan Hildebrandt as well. More assists for North High came via Mark Meister, Ryan Donavan, and John Anderson, who each chipped in one. Kyle Jacobs made 32 saves for the Packers on 36 shots. South St.Paul incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mario Bollman recorded 42 saves for the Polars. North High incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
