The Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-1 win over the Pine City/Rush City Dragons.

Eveleth-Gilbert got the win on the strength of a great game by Brett Kivela, who had two goals and one assist. Kivela scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Eveleth-Gilbert.
