Huge game by Ripley boosts Proctor over Greenway, 5-0Proctor Tue, Dec 11, 2012 Christian Ripley was all over the ice for the Proctor Rails, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Proctor's 5-0 win over the Greenway Raiders. Ripley found the back of the net 15:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Proctor and again while 13:02 into the second to make the score 5-0 Proctor.Greenway's power play was ineffective against the Rails' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Proctor put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Raiders to score on any of their six power plays. Proctor additionally got points from Jake Malec, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Ty Rackliffe, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Austin LePage also scored for Proctor. In addition, Proctor received assists from Jack Nikko, Josh Ernst, and Tanner Bergman, who each chipped in one. Greenway's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Proctor power plays. The Raiders could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Greenway puts an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game. The Raiders were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 14 penalty minutes. The Rails incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. |
