The Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears and the International Falls Broncos skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Eveleth-Gilbert found itself down againt International Falls, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie.

The Golden Bears were helped by Cole Kopp, who registered one goal. Kopp scored 2:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 International Falls. Daniel Rodriguez assisted on the tally. Sam Roberts also scored for Eveleth-Gilbert. More assists for Eveleth-Gilbert came via Luke Rozinka, who had one and Mitchell Huffman, who had two.

Eveleth-Gilbert was unable to stop the Broncos from sending pucks towards the net, and International Falls eventually piled up 52 shots on goal.

The Broncos were led by Lucas Debenedet, who racked up two goals. Debenedet scored the first of his two goals at 16:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 International Falls. Erik Lassila picked up the assist. Debenedet's next tally made the score 2-0 International Falls with 18:09 left in the second period. Austin Geiselhart assisted on the tally. International Falls also got a goal from Luke Spilde as well. In addition, International Falls received assists from Jakob Eide, Nick Anderson, and Jack Mellstrom, who contributed one a piece.

Chad Hietela rejected 49 shots on goal for the Golden Bears. Eveleth-Gilbert incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. International Falls' Wyatt Ulrich stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Broncos incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
