Huge game by Anez boosts Little Falls over Detroit Lakes, 7-4

The Little Falls Flyers' Mack Anez had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing four assists in his team's 7-4 win over the Detroit Lakes Lakers.

Anez scored on the power play 14:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Austin Rusness assisted on the tally.

Detroit Lakes fell victim to a deadly Little Falls power play, which ripped the Lakers for four goals.

The Flyers forced Detroit Lakes goalie MacKenzie Steele to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Little Falls' goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Flyers average 4.0 goals per contest. Little Falls' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Flyers give up 1.7 goal per game. Little Falls' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Little Falls additionally got points from Luke Majerle, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ben Newman, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and August Maciej, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Little Falls also got a goal from Matthew Stumpf as well. Other players who recorded assists for Little Falls were Spencer Fenske, who had one and Austin Bjorge, who had three.

The Lakers kept the Flyers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Stumpf made 28 saves on 32 shots.

Detroit Lakes was helped by Connor Collins, who had three goals. Detroit Lakes also got points from Rusness, who also registered one goal and three assists. More assists for Detroit Lakes came via Ryan Deconcini, who had two.

Little Falls incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Steele recorded 30 saves for the Lakers. Detroit Lakes incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
